How to apply...
Applications are submitted directly to one of the Short Term Lending Program (STLP) participating banks. Applicants may obtain a copy of the application and identify the bank servicing each region on the OSDBU internet site at: http://osdbuweb.dot.gov or by contacting the OSDBU or the participating bank. Application fee of $150 is paid to the bank with the completed application.
Note: Each program will indicate whether applications are to be submitted to the Federal headquarters, regional or local office, or to a State or local government office.
All lines of credit are approved through separate decisions by the bank and by DOT and are administered by the bank.
Note: Grant payments may be made by a letter of credit, advance by Treasury check, or reimbursement by Treasury check.
Awards may be made by the headquarters office directly to the applicant, an agency field office, a regional office,
or by an authorized county office. The assistance may pass through the initial applicant for further distribution by
intermediate level applicants to groups or individuals in the private sector.
